Touch Of Gold

18,250 days.. 438,000 hours.. 26,280,000 seconds.. 50 years of leaning on each other's strengths and forgiving each others weaknesses.
Iligan City Community Church, inc. spends this special moment with a touch of gold in a magical yet spiritual night. What is an anniversary? If you're like me who hasn't really celebrated an anniversary, you wouldn't understand why people would be happy with such an event.
*note:
If you don't know where ICCCI is, it is located at R. Jeffrey Rd., Pala-o, Iligan City(Between La Salle Academy and ILPI.)
Why would people celebrate "anniversary"? What is so special about it?
For me, this was really hard to relate. I didn't want to go and be with everyone at church, but a part of me was saying, "GO." To be honest, I was like a crazy person, I went in and out, then in and out.
It was embarrassing, and two of my soulmates(bestfriends) was getting tired of chasing me like a cat got out of cage. But in the end, I went inside the church, and trying to be "normal."😹😹
The church was filled with a lot of people. Young and old, religious and nonreligious, baptist and other more religions. At first, I never understand why people make a big deal with anniversaries.
But slowly, as the event started.. I was trying to look at the entire situation with a different angle.
This was not just any event. Anniversary is something really special...
This moment was about celebrating the joys of people today, memories of yesterday, and the hopes, dreams, and prayers for tomorrow. This was another year of overcoming the challenges and obstacles that God had given to His people. Another year of being a blessing to a lot of people.
A moment about giving people hope, that it is never too late to confess your sins, to love God with all your heart, mind, and soul.. And lastly, never too late to start over. Letting go of the past, and be your new self, the better version of who you were.
My favorite part of the event was the last performance, performed by the young people(Teens Growing In Faith) of ICCCI.💞 It reminded me of how I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior.
If I was the only person there, I would definitely cry! But I won't because it would be embarrassing.
The choir group of ICCCI was a "wow", I was really speechless of how they performed.
Congrats Iligan City Community Church, inc.! The event was a success! You deserved all the applause. Before and after the event was AMAZING. It really added a touch of gold to my heart. If someone wants to argue, shut up! Hahaha, It was amazing, period.
This is not their last, there will be more upcoming events from ICCCI that will move our hearts and make everyone cry. So i'll be sure to blog the next one with better pictures.
