Something To Remember
July 7, 2016 was my 17th birthday, not really expecting that someone would greet me sincerely.
I set the wall on my Facebook account to "only me" when it comes to posting.
My best friend kept on telling me to go to sleep early so I wouldn't be late for my first period again.
But on that time I knew he was going to greet me, but he wouldn't want me to see it a night before my day. I gave up, so I went to sleep. When I woke up in the morning, I was already late!
I moved faster, trying to catch up with the running time, I had a little glance on my phone.
I then saw my notifications! Some tagged me in their post, some sent me a pm, some texted me, and others tried to call me. But because I was running late for my class, I didn't had the chance to reply or answer their greetings.
When I arrived at the school campus, I wasn't able to catch up with time.
After the flag ceremony, I was sent to the preffict's office, But I forgot to surrender my phone.
During class hours, I used my phone because I wanted to read every single MMK(really long message) greeting my friend's sent.
I know I'm not the only one who loves reading a really long message, I feel appreciated and loved when someone sends me an MMK message.
The day after my birthday, I went to my previous school, ICENHS - Sta. Filomena, where I spend my four years of Junior High. I went to their guidance office to get my form - 137, I was so glad that "FINALLY" after four Fridays of visiting my previous school, I was finally able to get what I want.
My purpose was not only to get my form, but also to have a little "FriDate" with my best friend, but she went home early, so I got a little disappointed, but I still love her!
But my other best friend, told me to go to their room in the BEC bldg.
Even though I was so stressed with schoolwork, I've found myself smiling and slightly relaxed.
I was really surprised when he gave me his gift for me, he did promised me 2 months before my birthday that he would make me feel special on my birthday, but I was expecting that he had totally forgotten his promise.
He wasn't the only one who gave me something special, the young people in our Church made a really cute and adorable greeting card! It had colorful sticky notes of their msg! Which really made me happy.
Maybe for some people this is nothing, but for me, it's the best thing that's ever happened to me!
I am not used to being appreciated for my existence/presence. I always thought I was an anchor to people's lives.
I will never forget this moment..

Dear Past,
Thank you. You made me appreciate the present, and prepared for the future.
